Where it all began
"Missions are only for your early twenties." I heard those words before my first mission trip to Haiti in my thirties. But God had different plans – plans that would take me through disaster zones in Nepal, tsunami recovery in Thailand, and ministry across 40 U.S. states.
What I've discovered is this: there's no "right time" or "perfect age" to answer His call. Whether you're:

I've been there. And I'm here to help you navigate these challenges with confidence.
Today, I'm passionate about helping others step into their mission calling with wisdom and preparation. Whether you're considering your first mission trip or you're a seasoned traveler, my heart is to share the practical and spiritual insights I wish I'd had when I started.
Meet Melissa
Melissa is an author, wife, and mother currently residing with her family in Texas. With experience serving on several international mission trips, volunteering with Search & Rescue operations globally, and an extensive background in Emergency Management, Melissa brings practical expertise to mission preparation. She continues to serve God through local and global missions, or wherever He calls her. Her next book, On A Mission: In Your Own Nation, is currently in development.

When I first began serving on mission trips, I wasn't fully prepared for what I would face. Through my experiences across multiple countries, God revealed how we as missionaries can better prepare ourselves—spiritually and practically—to co-labor with Him in the assignments He's given us.
